Ollantaytambo und Temple Ollantay
The exciting day ends with a visit of the temple of Ollantay which in the days of the Spanish
conquest converted into the last Inca fortress. Since this complex had not been finished by
the time the Spaniards arrived it can be easily seen how it was constructed and where the
stones came from. The temple contains a religious, political and military part, most probably
also one for the Inca elite to stay and relax.
