Mega Tour of 20 days: North to South Peru

Summary
This 20-day group tour with final destination Arequipa brings you to the most amazing places of North and South Peru. Learn more about the Lady of Cao, a warrior queen and high priestess, as well as the Moon and Sun pyramids with their outstanding artwork, both built by the Moche civilization (100 CE to 800 CE) near a volcanic peak, in the coastal desert close to Trujillo. Over a hundred different communities contributed bricks to the construction of both pyramids.
Archeologists have estimated that the Sun Pyramid (temple of the sun) was composed of over 130 million adobe bricks and was the largest pre-Columbian adobe structure built in the Americas. It is believed to have originally been about 50 m (meters) in height and 340 m x 160 m at the base. Located at the center of the Moche capital city, the temple appears to have been used for ritual, ceremonial activities and as a royal residence and burial chambers.

Than we go via flight from Lima to Cusco: you see and experience the old Inca capital, the natural environment of romantic inspiration in the Sacred Valley and the lush vegetation and pleasant climate in and close to Machu Picchu.
In the highlands of Peru we will visit the native Quechuas and Aymaras who still keep some of their old customs and have maintained their languages.
Before getting to Arequipa, the White Town of the Sillar Stone, we visit the Colca Canyon and have a breathtaking moment when observing the majestic condors rising up to the clouds in the early morning.
